Our brand new online course for early years educators has been thoughtfully put together to help those working in pre schools, creche’s and early education settings to understand neurodiversity, the behaviours of neurodivergent children and sensory play for neurodivergent children. With 15-20% of the population now diagnosed as neurodivergent, there is a huge need for education on neurodiversity in the early years. This course has been designed to help and assist early years educators to be able to understand and nurture the children who come through their doors.

Learning Outcomes;

  • Understanding neurodiversity
  • Understanding autistic & neurodivergent behaviours
  • Understanding the importance of sensory & messy play and how it supports development & regulation in neurodivergent children
  • Understanding how to recognise the needs of neurodivergent children in early years settings and how to support them
  • The brain, regulation and coping with big emotions in early years settings

On completion of the workshop, you will receive a certificate and a downloadable copy of the training presentation.

This training does not qualify you to teach about neurodiversity.

This online workshop will be delivered as part of the Little Kneaders Training Academy by Amy, owner of Little Kneaders, who specialises in sensory play for neurodivergent & high support needs children and adults.

Amy is qualified in therapeutic play for neurodivergent children, sensory processing disorder, developmental coordination disorder, autism & sensory processing, sensory play & communication, sensory play & regulation, sensory play for dementia & Alzheimers, sensory play during cancer care, explosive emotions and sensory play for anxiety in neurodivergent children.
