We are proud to open the first and only photobiomodulation therapy clinic in the Republic of Ireland.
At Little Kneaders, we offer specialist, cutting-edge, non-invasive therapies designed to support the unique neurological, sensory and developmental needs of autistic individuals, those with ADHD, sensory processing differences, speech and motor challenges, anxiety, trauma, dyslexia, Alzheimer’s and other neurodiverse profiles.
Specialist Training & Expertise
Amy has undergone extensive training to bring this therapy to the clinic, including qualifications in Functional Neuroanatomy, Transcranial Photobiomodulation and cold-level laser safety.
Our Therapeutic Approach
Using a combination of cold-level laser therapy, NeuroSage movement protocols and red light therapy, our clinic provides customised, 100% non-invasive interventions. These therapies are designed to gently regulate, stimulate and support the brain and body in a natural and supportive way, complimenting our approach to nurturing mental wellbeing.
What is Transcranial Photobiomodulation (tPBM)?
Transcranial Photobiomodulation (tPBM) is a non-invasive therapeutic technique that uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate healing, reduce inflammation and support cellular function.
Also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or cold laser therapy, PBM works by delivering light energy to the cells. This light is absorbed by the mitochondria, the energy-producing structures within cells. The process increases the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the molecule responsible for cellular energy, helping to accelerate repair and enhance overall cellular performance.
Neurological & Developmental Support
In the context of neurological and developmental support, tPBM has shown promise in regulating brain function, calming the nervous system and promoting neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to form new connections.
It has been used to support individuals with autism, ADHD, speech delay, anxiety, brain injury, Alzheimer’s, ALS, addiction and sensory processing challenges. The therapy is painless, safe and deeply calming for many individuals, making it an ideal complement to sensory and neurodevelopmental support programmes.
