Using her own in-depth knowledge, training, certificates and qualifications, Amy has developed her own accredited and globally recognisedNeurodiverse Mindfulness Practitioner training course specifically for those wanting to support the mental, emotional and physical wellbeing of neurodiverse children and adolescents.
Breathing is the fastest path to regulation. Some neurodivergentchildren, need to build the neural pathway in their brains to be able to take a deep breath, this training aims to teach you breathwork and mindfulness techniques to achieve this regulation technique with your neurodiverse students. Breathwork, mindfulness and meditation are proven to reduce behaviours of concern, overwhelm and anxiety in neurodiverse brains when taught in neuro-affirming practice.
This two day online live training course is specifically for early years educators, teachers 9primary and secondary), SEN’s, SNA’s, support staff and adults who want to support neurodiverse children through their own mindfulness classes or within educational settings to provide emotional recognition and moments of calm throughout the day.
Amy has developed this course to help reduce neurodiverse children’s overwhelm in school and to help them recognise and identify their emotions. As a specialist in school refusal, Amy sees first-hand the impact that the school environment can have on some children and wants to ensure that there are ways of supporting neurodiverse children through mindfulness and play.
There is a final written assessment to complete at the end of the two days training. No certification will be given unless this final assessment is completed and passed.
On completion of this course, you will be able to hold your own mindfulness classes for neurodivergent children or support them in nurture/resource lessons during the school day. This course is to enable all children of all abilities to access mindfulness-based tools for to support regulation.
